Hi! I'm Karma Hill, a professional photographer, mother, wife and lover of life located on the beautiful Hawaiian island of Maui. I built my business to market exclusively to the people who vacation on Maui and have been blessed to have a constant steam of work since I started my photography business, Good Karma Photography in 2006. As my business became more well known, I began to get a lot of questions from other photographers on Maui and around the country about my business model.  After about the 20th e-mail, I decided that there was a need for me to write a book so other photographers can learn from what I have discovered, and hopefully enjoy the level of success that I have attained.

I have learned how to effectively market to destination portrait clients. There is a huge market for families and couples to have their portraits made while on vacation. Where would you rather have your family portraits taken, in your dream destination location or in your back yard or local portrait studio?! 

I want to share my knowledge with you, so you can start or maximize your destination portrait business as well.  I have a special approach to generating clients that allows me to get bookings in my sleep, spend more time with my family and give my clients an amazing vacation experience. Whether you live by the beach or next to the worlds largest ball of string; if you have people vacationing near you, you can make this business work. 

I also want to point out that you do not have to currently be a professional photographer to start this business.  If you have a passion for photography, but have never been paid for it, this book shows you step by step how to turn your dream of going pro into a reality!  I did it and so can you!!
